Packed off by busy parents to his gran's in run-down Tidemark Bay, Eddy's summer holiday isn't looking promising. But mysteriously, he's transformed into Cabin Boy of good shipCodcake: his quest, pirate treasure... So what if his scatterbrained Captain has a carrot (not a parrot) and the crew are a grey-haired old lady and stowaway penguin?

Old Grungeybeard's map provides four challenges they must overcome to unearth the treasure. But dastardly brigand, Barracuda Bill, and an intelligence unit disguised as a pantomime cow are also in pursuit. Will Eddy and his shipmates succeed?

Fast-paced and very funny, this inventive re-working of a pirate's tale buzzes with sharp one-liners, inventive language and oddball details, such as the Raisins of Death and a chapter entitled 'Things Go Really Badly'. Highly entertaining and swashbuckling!
